Indore
A hogger's haven for sweetmeats & savoury snacks
A 16th century trading hub between Delhi and the empires of the Deccan plateau of South India, Indore continues to play a significant role in commerce of India’s most central state, Madhya Pradesh, and is the largest city here. It is best known for its Lord Shiva temple built at the confluence of two rivers, that still draws large crowds of pilgrims, and as the street-food capital of India, with an assortment of local, savoury delights and sweetmeats.
