Anuradhapura

Anuradhapura is the most celebrated of the Sri Lanka’s ancient ruined cities. Its greatest treasures are its dagobas and its most revered relic, the sacred Bo Tree which is said to have grown from a branch of the tree under which the Buddha gained enlightenment. Today, the ancient religious site is a great magnet for pilgrims and travellers from all over the world.
