Bharatpur
Rajasthan's largest wetland refuge
As with several national parks in India, Bharatpur too was a former hunting grounds for royalty, with an astonishing range of bird life on offer. Today, the mosaic of grassland, woodland, wetland, and swamp has been demarcated as the Keoladeo National Park, and provide refuge not just for over 300 bird species, several of which are migratory and halt on their way south from Siberia but also provides a rich ecosystem for all other biodiversities.
