Nagarhole Jeep Safari
Witness the resilience of a national park
Set off through the rich forest cover of Nagarhole, with its hills, valleys, streams and waterfalls. A terrain often ravaged by forest fires, the Nagarhole wildlife is testimony to the resilience of nature – and the safari takes you through broad roads that break up the canopies to offer a glimpse of the wildlife. Apart from the park’s flagship species, the royal Bengal tiger, the Asiatic elephant and the Indian gaur or bison, species like the Indian leopard, wild dog, jackal, sloth bear, striped hyena, grey mongoose, sambar, chital, wild boar are frequently sighted. The park also hosts over 270 bird species, noteably the critically endangered Oriental white-backed vulture, the lesser adjutant, the greater spotted eagle and the Nilgiri wood-pigeon.
