Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF)
Witness folk music traditions from across the world
The Rajasthan International Folk Festival, set against the incredible backdrop of the Mehrangarh Fort under the brightest full moon each year – is surely one of Jodhpur’s most-renowned cultural highlights. With folk music from across the world taking the centrestage, it is no wonder that UNESCO has endorsed it as a “Peoples’ Platform for Creativity and Sustainable Development.” This cultural potpourri has been possible due to the royal patronage of HH Gaj Singh of Marwar-Jodhpur in the spirit of the kings of yore, who patronized performing arts over the years, as also Sir Mick Jagger, from the rock band ‘The Rolling Stones’ – and the festival attracts artists and audiences from far and wide, brought together by their love of folk music.
