Bikaner

One of Rajasthan's three great desert kingdoms

Bikaner was one of the three great desert kingdoms of Rajasthan and prospered because of its strategic location on the overland caravan trade route to Central Asia and China. The city is known for its intricately carved Jharokas, sweets and handicrafts as well as the multitude of fairs and festivals that take place here.
